Curtin University

Curtin University is Western Australia's largest and most multi-cultural university. It has a strong commitment to international engagement with Australia's third largest international student population. It maintains campuses in Malaysia and Singapore while also conducting face-to-face teaching in a number of countries. This cultural diversity adds a rich and valuable dimension to its campus atmosphere and also prepares the graduates to live and work in an increasingly global environment.

It has a long standing commitment to indigenous education and culture and has the highest enrolment of Indigenous Australians of any university in the country. Its Centre for Aboriginal Studies is recognised as a national leader in its field and it was the first university in Australia to sign a Statement of Reconciliation.

Curtin is also fundamentally committed to providing regional education within Western Australia through campuses and education centers spread across the state including Esperance, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Margaret River, Northam, Port Hedland and Albany. It also has a campus in Sydney.

It is widely recognised for the practical and applied nature of its courses, which equip graduates with essential skills through exposure to industry and business, and our research, which focuses on solving real world problems. This combination enables graduates to be effective in the workplace immediately upon graduation.

As part of this approach, Curtin has always fostered successful partnerships with industry, business and government to enhance the quality of its scholarship, teaching and research. It will continue to develop existing partnerships and to establish new ones in areas relevant to its research and teaching.

Edith Cowan University (ECU) is a large multi-campus institution serving communities in Western Australia and a significant cohort of international students.

More than 400 courses are offered through four faculties: Business and Law, Computing, Health and Science, Education and Arts, which includes the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), and Regional Professional Studies.

The University has two metropolitan campuses in Mount Lawley and Joondalup, and also serves Western Australia's South West region from a campus in Bunbury, 200km south of Perth.

ECU is committed to breaking down barriers to education and is considered a pioneer in the development of alternative entry pathways to higher education, helping Western Australians reach their potential.

An emphasis on conducting research with industry partners in areas such as e-commerce, micro-electronics engineering, police studies, education, ecosystem management, palliative care, social justice and human services has seen ECU develop a lively applied research culture. Its Vario Health Institute, for instance, brings together 60 scientists from different disciplines to create WA's largest powerhouse of preventative health research.

University of Western Australia

Sitting on the banks of the Swan River, the UWA Crawley campus is the oldest in Western Australia and among the most picturesque in the nation with its grand sandstone and terracotta buildings sitting among elegant heritage-listed gardens.

UWA has the highest quality undergraduates of any university in Australia. This is underpinned by the fact that the proportion of UWA graduates accepted into full-time employment within five months of completing their course is the highest of all Western Australian universities and among the highest in Australia.

The university offers comprehensive learning programs for undergraduates and postgraduates across nine faculties and the School of Indigenous Studies.

The University welcomes more than 4,500 international students to its academic programmes both onshore and overseas. Our Crawley campus is a multi-cultural and multi-faith community which includes students from 90 different countries.

The University also participates in a number of international scholarship programs, principally through AusAID, which manages the Australian Government's overseas aid program.

University of Notre Dame Australia

The University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) is one of the rising stars of Australian universities. Founded through an Act of the Parliament of Western Australia in December 1989, it now has over 7000 students enrolled on its three campuses in Fremantle, Sydney and Broome. The University’s founding partner was the University of Notre Dame in the United States (NDUS), one of the world’s great Catholic universities and the benchmark for UNDA. It has provided UNDA with inspiration; counsel; ideas and models; ‘study abroad’ students and faculty; and the presence of its leaders on its Boards and governing councils.

Notre Dame Australia is an Australian university which has embraced both the modern Australian university tradition and the ancient and esteemed traditions of Catholic universities both in Europe and North America. It has sought to be a university which specialises in excellence of undergraduate education. Its focus is the education and training of young people for entry to the major professions: medicine, law, teaching, nursing, accounting and finance, physiotherapy, counselling, health sciences and the priesthood.
