The New South Wales Minerals Council has developed and produced an interactive Minerals Industry Careers CD ROM, titled 'Prospects: Thrills and Skills in the Mining Industry', in partnership with Minerals Council of Australia and NSW Department of Education Centre for Learning Innovation. This CD showcases minerals industry careers including pathways and entry points into the industry. It provides videoed case studies for the key minerals industry professions and trades, pre-training information plus work experiences and further career opportunities. Links to all related training institutions are also provided. Associated industry content is embedded in the disk showing the scope, location and nature of the minerals industry in NSW and Australia, linked to company and industry related websites.
